REGISTER
AN ACCOUNT:
1. Fill in registration form completely.
2. Remember your user name and password for
future access.
3. Retrieve the email sent to you by HiC
(If your browser does not show the entire activation
URL then you have to cut and paste it in. Remember
it starts with “HTTP” and ends with “=activate”)
4. The activation code, under your email address,
will only be needed once.
5. Click through to the activation URL.
6. Enter your email address and activation
code in the appropriate box and submit.
7. Once you hit submit you are registered.
8. Now
you are ready to create and edit your own ads.
9. You will enter the UserID and Password you selected
- NOT THE ACTIVATION CODE.

PLACE
A NEW AD:
1. Select
the appropriate category “next”
2. You MUST enter the length of time for which you want the
add to run. (you may update this twice 1 to 6 weeks)
3. Next select the appropriate sub-category where you
wish your ad displayed.
4. Check out the information on the next screen.
a) You may choose
not to have your phone number displayed
b) Fill in
your headline. We recommend horse sex, breed and registrations.
c) If you
have a non-commercial web site and wish it displayed do so
here.
d) Select
to upload a photo or to pass on this option. Click
here for software and
instructions
to assist you in creating the photo if you do not know how.
5. A critical part of a successful ad, besides a good
picture, is the description. Remember searches are done on keywords
and we offer comprehensive search features for your potential clients.
Breed, Registrations, Age, Lineage and Personal attributes are
some of the description we recommend.
6. Select next.
PHOTO
7. Here
you will be asked to upload your photo if you chose that option.
The photo can be no more than 40,000 bytes (38K) and the physical
size must be
600 pixels wide or less x 400 pixels high or less. Neither dimension can exceed
that number. Eg) 600x350 is ok, 601x350 won’t upload. Or 500x400 is ok
and 500x401 won’t upload. Create your picture and use the browse feature
to upload it and the program does the rest. Click
here if you require graphic software to assist you.
8. Click upload and that’s it.
Check
what your ad looks like on the next screen
If
you have missed something or are not satisfied with the appearance
click on my classified, select “Modify, Delete, Renew or
Manage Photos” and proceed to edit your ad.
Select the appropriate ad if you have listed more than one and edit as you
wish.

Analyzer Software & Instructions:

Install the software on your computer
These instructions are for win98 all other versions you're on your
own! In our opinion
there will not be much difference, if any, regardless of your windows version.
CLICK: "Start" from the bottom left button
on your computer (WIN 98).
CLICK: "Run in the pop-up menu.
CLICK: "Browse" and
find your file.
DOUBLE CLICK: on the "ImageAnalyzer.exe" file.
CLICK: "OK" button and
follow the instructions.
Once installed use the following to help guide you.
Start Image Analyzer from the desktop icon.
CLICK: "File" on the upper menu
bar.
CLICK: "Open" on the drop down
menu.
A box appears on your screen.
CLICK: "Look in" browse to the directory
that contains your file.
CLICK: on the file (picture) you wish to use.
CLICK: on the "Open" button within
the box.
The box disappears from the screen.
CLICK: "Image" on the upper bar.
CLICK: "Resize" on the drop down
menu.
A box appears on your screen
CHANGE the "width" or "height" so
width does not exceed "600" or the height "400".
CLICK: the "Ok" button.
The box disappears and your picture on the screen re-sizes.
CLICK: "File" on upper bar.
CLICK: "Save as" in drop down menu.
MAKE SURE "Save as type:" is set to "Joint
Picture Export Group" in the box.
CLICK: "File name:" Give
the file a new name to avoid changing the original.
CLICK: "File Format Option" a
bar in the box.
CLICK: "JPEG" from the
top.
CLICK: "specify file size" Set
to "38" Kb.
CLICK: "Save" and
choose where you wish to save the file.
Go to our classified ad section.
Select a new ad or edit an existing ad.
Following the instructions for uploading the picture you just created.
